I had a good laugh when Echo came to class and pulled a "Lorraine" This is something made famous among the carvers from the more than once Lorraine has come to class needing to make a present for that afternoon. Echo was on her way to her good friends birthday party. She told me they always get each other a serious present and one that is funny. Echo made this "No meat or fish" sign for her Vegetarian friend.
After one year of carving, Lorraine is putting the first coat of finish on her elm carving of Mother Magdalen

Last month was the start of a new series of classes at the Randall Museum newly renovated shop space. It is a gorgeous new space for wood carving.
Two of the young carvers from the Randall class show off their newly completed owl and turtle sculptures.
I had a repair job where I had to replace part of a chair rail. It was difficult since the piece was totally gone. It was challenging to flip the design.
The Woodworker that I did the carving for did a wonderful job finishing the chair. I was amazed at how good it looked.
I was so delighted to get these emotion masks from Anom. What a great reference on facial emotions.
